About me
"Andrew Murray is an embedded Linux software engineer at Embedded Bits Limited - a provider of embedded Linux professional engineering services. His day-to-day role fulfils his passion for learning and provides him with plenty of embedded Linux experience including kernel and embedded applications development on a variety of platforms. Andrew has reduced the cold boot time of countless real world products that use embedded Linux and produced a number of impressive boot time demos.
Andrew previously presented at ELC-Europe 2010 with a presentation titled 'The Right Approach to Minimal Boot Times' - the talk outlined a process for reducing boot time and included a 1 second cold boot demo.
Andrew graduated in 2007 from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth with a Masters degree in Software Engineering (MEng).
